SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH?

Simply put, truth is something  that has been verified by facts.

Most people, especially Scholars and Theologians have studied the subject of truth for centuries. Your spoken words and your decisions are meaningless without  truthful back-up from the Word of God.

It is written in the book of John 8:31-32, Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

The truth will only set you free if you know the truth. It is only speaking of knowing the word of God. God’s Word is the Truth and nothing but the whole truth. 

Most people prefer not to hear the truth for the simple reason that “truth” is often hard to take, especially if it affects us personally. 

Ignorance is bliss. It is a wall between you and the truth. Learning the truth exposes the world to you. You’ll be well informed and free to act.

Maybe you’ll learn from this story told by a Pastor friend.
I had a friend in our Bible school who had a back injury that was several years old. 

In bible school we were studying only the bible. The covenant knowledge and redemption truths were being discussed daily, including healing in the sacrifice of Jesus for our physical bodies.

Part way through the year, she suddenly realized her back was never sore anymore! The truth she had been immersed in had made her free. She received and enjoyed in reality what the scriptures said was available. The truth she was reading daily became her truth in her body and the word set her free from her physical pain.

I have since seen that repeated with different conditions over the years. As people soaked in the word for themselves, over time they recovered from normally incurable conditions.

Believe it or not, knowing the  truth is the only thing that can set you free. No one can buy truth no matter how wealthy or prominent they may be.

The only way to discover the truth is to search for it in the Scripture. We cannot simply discard God’s Word because we disagree with it, that will be calling God a liar.

Are you willing to believe God and learn His Words?
Why not pursue truth in the Word of God with all you’ve got? That is all, that is what you must do to earn freedom. There is no other way. Truth is victorious; giving up on truth is disastrous.

PERCEIVE THE TRUTH THAT SETS FREE

God is as true as His gospel.
What you perceive is what you believe based on what you hear, see and think.

As Christians, we must purposely choose life generating thoughts by channeling our minds positively to the law of the Lord.The Word of God teaches us what we should spend our time thinking about in Psalm 1:1-3,the psalmist said that he thought about the precepts of God.That means that he spent a lot of time pondering and thinking on the ways of God,His teaching, and His instructions.

The perceptual process begins with receiving God’s Word in our Hearts and ends with our interpretation and understanding of what we have read through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Frequently, we think about things that keep our minds busy but are not productive in a positive way, such as meditating on what people say rather than on what God says in the Holy Bible.

Perception allows us to act on what we have learnt through the help of the Holy Spirit.Many of us act before thinking.But we were advised in the book of Proverbs to be thoughtful in every situation.

Your thoughts today will determine what you are.What you are today is what you have been thinking for the last ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years.If you want to be a success and prosperous in all your dealings the Bible says you must meditate on the Word of God day and night.

How do we attend to God’s Word? We attend to God’s word by meditating on it,by pondering on it, by contemplating it,by rehearsing or practicing it in our thinking and by going the extra mile to speak them aloud as our confession.

You need to line up your thinking with God and His Word.Think about things that are important to God and make it a regular part of your thought life if you want to experience freedom.Let the power of the Holy spirit working through the Word of God bring victory into your life.
